  • What are dermal fillers? 

    • Dermal fillers are a gel like substance that help replace volume loss due to the aging process. There are multiple different including hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxylapatite, or a biocompatible substance such as poly-L-lactic acid or polymethylmethacrylate, At longevity we use the Juvederm brand of fillers.​

  • Are there different types? â€‹â€‹

    • As mentioned above there are multiple types or filler and your provider will personalized your treatment that best suits you aesthetic needs.​

  • Are there risks or side effects? 

    • Dermal fillers are relatively safe and effective, most common side effects include swelling, bruising, itching or tenderness. These side effects typically resolve in a week or so.

  • Are dermal fillers better than Botox?

    • ​ Dermal Fillers and Botox are two different medications that do two different things. We can discuss what option is better for you

  • Are dermal filler injections painful?

    • ​ It depends on where the filler is used. There is numbing agents used to help with comfort. Typically fillers are well tolerated
